Season’s Greetings!

As 2010 draws to an end, we reflect on the many things that Artgonia achieved this year.

  • We re-launched the site after more than 4 years online and got quite a lot of traction.
  • Started our integration with facebook for faster and better promotion of our artists’ work
  • Added numerous features in response to our users’ feedback
  • Attracted 200 facebook friends

For all of you that joined us this year and the many that continued with us since the beginning of the Journey: Happy Holidays and a great 2011!

In the new year we will continue to innovate Artgonia to bring even more features to promote and sell your art. We sincerely appreciate your trust in Artgonia and look forward to serve you and help you in the new year.

To a great 2010 and a better 2011!

200+ emails

It was very exciting! At the click of a button and in about 30 seconds 200+ emails went out informing users of our new website availability.

We have worked hard to get to this point and hope that you all enjoy the new site and continue to help us improve it. This marks a new chapter in the history of Argonia.

Thanks very much to all! Now onto the first big execution milestone… The 1,000th user.

New Artgonia Launch

After some months of hardcore development, changing the framework that powers the site and redesign… We’re ready to launch the new site. Today we moved the data from the old site and move all code to the production server. We are finally live!

In the coming days we will be sending emails to the current registered users so that they can log into the new site and start using the new features. We’re very proud of our tight facebook integration and are sure our artists will find the increased marketing and visibility potential extremely valuable.

I’m personally very excited to start hearing the feedback and ideas on how to improve the site. This is just the beginning, this site is for you and we really want to hear what you expect from it.

Thanks for using Artgonia!

Artgonia’s very first blog post

So, there you have it!

I’ve installed WordPress into Artgonia and given it it’s own url: blog.artgonia.com.

I started this site back in 2005 and over 300 users and 5 years later, we have decided swift gears and do a major update to the site. We hope this will become the Web 2.0 platform for artist work promotion and art discovery. Many features are being cooked as I write this and we’re very excited of things to come.

Our development blog will update everybody in the progress.
