is your art on facebook, twitter or your own site?
July 17th, 2010
Let your users know about it. We have added the “Internet Presence” options in your “Profile”.
You can add a facebook page or profile, a twitter profile and one website. With this you can now promote your own personal pages where your art is exposed or discussed.
We would appreciated if you would also link back to Artgonia.
Thanks!
Want to see how your art is doing?
July 15th, 2010
Today we released the new “Dashboard”. This is the place where you can go and see how your art is doing in Artgonia. In the Dashboard, you’re able to see:
- Total number of times that your profile page has been visited.
- Total number of fans and information about the last 3.
- Information about the most visited Collections.
- Information about the most visited, best rated and worse rated items in your collections.
This will empower you to see how your art is being received by the Artgonia community as well as give you focus on what to promote next.
Enjoy tracking your art’s performance on the web!
See your favorite art without distractions
July 12th, 2010
Tonight we have released the newest feature to Artgonia Collections: The Slideshow. This allows published collections to be seen in slideshow fashion with a less distracting background and full focus on the art itself.
Check it out, here’s one of my favorite collections in slideshow mode: http://www.artgonia.com/collections/slideshow/107
Artists can now use the direct link to the slideshow to call it from their blogs and websites and like pretty much anything in Artgonia, it can be shared in many of the social networks out there.
Enjoy watching art with The Slideshow!
New identity and new website design
June 30th, 2010
Following the re-design of our blog, we have now re-design the whole website. It is not only more visually appealing but also much more easy to use.
With the new website came the decision to redefine our identity as well, as a result our logo has been through a major change.
We hope you like the changes and like always, keep the feedback coming!

Our first version of the facebook app is now live in facebook: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=417120325243

Tag your art
May 17th, 2010
Yesterday we included a new feature for profiles, collections and items: Tags.
Tags serve two purposes:
- They help Artgonia index your content so that it’s more easily searchable and linked together with similar art.
- They help you get more noticed in Search Engines like Google.
You will find this new feature in when you edit your profile, your collections and your items. Get in there and start tagging your art!
200+ emails
May 9th, 2010
It was very exciting! At the click of a button and in about 30 seconds 200+ emails went out informing users of our new website availability.
We have worked hard to get to this point and hope that you all enjoy the new site and continue to help us improve it. This marks a new chapter in the history of Argonia.
Thanks very much to all! Now onto the first big execution milestone… The 1,000th user.
New Artgonia Launch
May 7th, 2010
After some months of hardcore development, changing the framework that powers the site and redesign… We’re ready to launch the new site. Today we moved the data from the old site and move all code to the production server. We are finally live!
In the coming days we will be sending emails to the current registered users so that they can log into the new site and start using the new features. We’re very proud of our tight facebook integration and are sure our artists will find the increased marketing and visibility potential extremely valuable.
I’m personally very excited to start hearing the feedback and ideas on how to improve the site. This is just the beginning, this site is for you and we really want to hear what you expect from it.
Thanks for using Artgonia!
Collections, Items and more…

Yesterday, we finished the new implementation of Galleries (now known as Collections) and Artwork (now known as Items). The release of the new site to the public is now imminent and we hope it could happen as soon as next week.
All of the current Artgonia users will soon receive a mail explaining how to migrate to the new system and link their facebook accounts for increased exposure and enjoyment of prople’s art.
